Take a walk through the Autodesk Fusion 360 connected data platform, from product design to manufacturing. Tour a seamlessly connected process that goes from Fusion 360 to Upchain to Fusion 360 Manage and finally to Prodsmart. The Team D3 rock stars for these products will be on stage presenting a coordinated role-based demo of product data passed through each primary product in the Fusion 360 cloud-based platform, powered under the hood by Team D3's ForgeFlow integration, existing Autodesk in-product integrations, and open-source tech sales demonstration tools such as Sven Dickmans' manufacturing bill of materials (MBOM) tool. We'll focus on the product experience and proof of the convergence use cases from beginning to end in the design-to-manufacture lifecycle. This session will focus on the Fusion 360 cloud products used for product design (Autodesk Fusion 360), product data management (Upchain), product lifecycle management (Autodesk Fusion 360 Manage), and manufacturing execution (Prodsmart), as well as a connected data pathway between them all.

By writing programs using Fusion 360 software’s Application Programming Interface (API), you can customize Fusion 360 software to more efficiently accomplish the tasks you need it to do. You can also create new applications that can be provided to Fusion 360 software users through the Autodesk Exchange Store. This class will begin with the basics by looking at how you can write a program in either JavaScript API or Python software, but then will focus on using Python by looking at the basic syntax and statements you’ll need in most programs and discovering how to debug your Python programs. The class then will dive into Fusion 360 software’s programming interface where its core principles are described and demonstrated. Finally, we’ll discuss the more advanced topic of creating custom commands.

Integrating Fusion 360 with Forge can be a really powerful way to streamline your existing processes.

In this class, we will provide an introduction to both the Forge and Fusion 360 API's and will explain how you can get started with implementing workflows using both Fusion 360 and Forge.

This course will focus on connecting Inventor to Fusion 360 software with the new Send to Fusion 360 tool inside Inventor 2022. Some example workflows we will demonstrate will include sharing your Inventor data with an outside stakeholder for CAM toolpath creation inside of Fusion 360; maximizing generative design on a part created inside Inventor; running simulation tools inside Fusion 360 on Inventor components; and creating high-quality visualizations inside Fusion 360 of your Inventor parts and assemblies.

A real model can be simplified in Fusion 360, and then taken through the whole workflow of setting it up, running simulations, and analyzing results. The class will also capitalize on the other capabilities from Fusion 360, to combine the design optimization with Fusion Mechanical simulation and Generative Design in Fusion 360.

The command will use a custom dialog to get various types of inputs from the user and provide an interactive preview of the results.
